Romi Ferretti
is South Beach’s
newest Renaissance man. The 37-year-old Verona,
Italy, native
played bass for one of Italy’s top rock bands,
reinvented himself as a fashionista, and recently
teamed up with brother Allessandro, a well-known
local builder and developer, to inject new life into an old art deco property
now called The Wave Hotel. The name reflects his design of cool blue colors
and soft curved lines, prominent throughout the Ocean Drive boutique inn.
“Nobody invents anything,” Ferretti
says. “We simply interpret what we see in the world around us. I get ideas whenever
I go out.”
JUST THE FACTS
Languages: “Italian, English and
my own sort of sign language.”
Blondes or brunettes: “Hair color doesn’t matter. I
like brave eyes.”
Sexiest part of the body: “Tanned female legs with cute feet, dressed
in Manolo Blahnik or Sergio
Rossi high-heel sandals.”
